  1. Teacher taught students ‘flat Earth theory’ and said LGBTQ+ people are ‘from Satan’ – Design and Technology teacher Robert Headley taught students at Rokeby School in Canning Town about the flat Earth theory and said LGBTQ+ people being “descended from the Antichrist” (The Mirror)
  2. Sainsbury’s worker who groped female colleague and called another ‘Yummy mummy’ wins unfair dismissal claim after tribunal ruled his bosses failed to consider that behaviour was caused by head injury – Chris Kelly faced a series of complaints from fellow staff that he had groped one of them, talked about giving his wife multiple orgasms, and called female colleagues ‘b***h’ and ‘w***e’ (DailyMail)
  3. Mum falsely claimed boss stabbed her with biro and even faked gory ‘bloody wound’ pics – In the fabricated story, she claimed her manager Fawad Shaida stabbed her hand twice as he got up from his desk in February 2015 (Daily Star)
  4. Barrister fined for ‘mimicking and mocking’ opposing counsel – An employment barrister who mimicked and mocked opposing counsel and their instructing solicitor during a tribunal hearing has been fined £1,500 (The Law Society Gazette)
  5. Postman, 59, who was unfairly sacked for driving without a seatbelt and sticking his chewing gum on a customer’s gate lantern is awarded more than £17,000 in compensation – The 59-year-old postie – called G Harvey – had worked for Royal Mail for more than 25 years and he delivered mail on rural rounds from the Prestonpans office in Scotland (DailyMail)
  6. Man sacked for failing to provide sample due to shy bladder wins £90,000 – Railwayman Lewis Smith suffered from ‘shy bladder syndrome’ which left him too nervous to go to the loo when Network Rail called him in for the random check (SurreyLive)
  7. Professor sues university for £2.1m as sex harassment claim leaves him depressed – Dr Theodore Piepenbrock, 57, was accused of giving a junior colleague “excessive compliments” including that she had a ‘beautiful body’, a move which he claims led to unfair dismissal and victimisation (The Mirror)
  8. TV producer loses racism case after claiming BBC Sport interview panel laughed at her Indian accent – Malika Keswani alleged two of the three women on the all-white panel ‘chuckled’ when she was answering questions during an interview for a BBC Sport production manager job in Salford, Greater Manchester (DailyMail)
  9. Payout for staff at Chinese buffet which ‘shut after their first shift’ following lockdown – The owner of a Chinese buffet has been ordered to pay thousands to two former staff who only worked one shift (TeessideLive)
  10. Police chief who led controversial Ted Heath abuse inquiry at ‘Britain’s worst force’ had a ‘personal and undisclosed’ relationship with his head of standards and ethics, disciplinary hearing is told – Mike Veale’s relationship with Christiana Emsley was cited as the key reason for a ‘biased’ and ‘unfair’ investigation into a senior officer working at Cleveland Police, dubbed ‘the worst force in the UK (DailyMail)
